End type
Category: Ends & configuration
How the ends of a compression spring are finished: closed & ground (CG), closed & squared (C) or open (O).
Closed & ground ends give the best seating and the most stable, square spring; closed & squared ends are economical; open ends are rare and less stable. The end type affects the number of active coils and the solid height.
